West Wind Aviation, New Passenger Terminal

Commercial

Size: 13,132 sq.ft

Estimated Cost: $2,770,000

Year: 2009

RBM was retained by West Wind Aviation to develop a new passenger terminal for Saskatoon as part of a 3 stage process to develop and expand their facilities in Saskatoon.

The project led to a new, larger, integrated facility to serve the existing maintenance, executive and charter services while serving a rapidly growing demand due to the booming economy.

The new terminal includes an ongoing planning and evaluation process, working with passenger flows, security requirements and service personnel to produce a seamless charter experience.

Consideration has also been given to the overall image of the building as it will now serve as the renewed identity for West Wind in Saskatoon and beyond. Located on the west end of the Saskatoon Airport property, the building provides an updated response to the simple, pre-engineered steel-box buildings that surround it.
